We didn't set out to build a rental. We set out to build the place we never wanted to leave.
Why We Built It
From Austin to the Smokies
My husband and I are luxury builders out of Austin, Texas, and proud owners of this private mountain home. We spent years crafting fine homes for others — but the Smoky Mountains kept calling us back. Their calm, their quiet, the way the light moves across the ridgelines at dawn.
So we set out to build something that could portray that serenity: a home that feels like an exhale the moment you walk in. Every beam, every window placement, every finish was chosen to frame the mountains and slow the pace.

The Vision Continues
Growing, carefully
Moonlight Chalet was the beginning. We're excited to introduce our upcoming property — contemporary architecture with a large pool, media room, firepit and panoramic views — as we grow a small collection of homes that each hold to the same standard.
Our mission is simple: to give families and couples a place where the mountains do the work, and the only thing left to plan is which memory to make first.
